DEAKIN RURAL HEALTH WARRNAMBOOL
The Warrnambool Office was the first of the four offices to be opened under the former GGT UDRH and houses the Director of Deakin Rural Health, research and administrative staff and primary health care education and training staff. It was officially opened on the 18th July, 2002 by the Honorable Kay Patterson, Federal Minister for Health and Ageing. In 2016, this became Deakin Rural Health with the offices located on Deakin University's Warrnambool Campus on the Princes Highway. A fourth office located at Deakin Burwood campus closed in 2015.
DEAKIN RURAL HEALTH HAMILTON
The Hamilton Office was the second of the four offices to be opened under the former GGT UDRH and houses the finance, Indigenous health and student support teams. It was officially opened on the 29th November, 2003 by the Honorable David Hawker MP, the Federal Member for Wannon. The office is co-located with Western District Health Services and the Hamilton Base Hospital in Foster Street.
FLINDERS RURAL HEALTH SA MOUNT GAMBIER
The Mount Gambier office was the third of four offices to be opened under the former GGT UDRH and houses student support, community engagement, and education and training program staff. It was officially opened by the Honorable Tony Abbott MHR, the Commonwealth Minister for Health and Ageing, on the 4th June 2007. The office is co-located with the Flinders University Rural Clinical School (FURCS) at Flinders University on Vivienne Avenue. In 2016, FURCS and GGT UDRH have merged to become Flinders Rural Health SA. The facility includes clinical simulation laboratories, meeting rooms, a lecture theatre, computer study centre and office space and is adjacent to the Mount Gambier and District Health Services.
